As we all know, Venezuela is a country that is experiencing a difficult political situation due to the controversial and dictatorial administration of president Nicolas Maduro. For this reason, a lot of Venezuelans have decided to leave their country to move to a place that does offer safety and a promising future in order for them to thrive. Venezuelans all look for different legal ways to settle in the United States: They ask for a student visa, a working visa, a green card or even political asylum. Young people generally go for a student visa if they have no chance to get a green card. Why? Because most of them want to pursue a major in college and a student visa is issued for that purpose or any other educational goal. Thus, there are thousands of Venezuelans in South Florida that besides pursuing a better future, they are also looking to have fun, a lot of fun. I will recommend a great restaurant that I am sure most people that read this would love.

Miami-Dade County is a place full of excellent, delicious restaurants. Who doesn’t like eating? I bet that while you are reading this, you are thinking about your favorite dish. Venezuelans are traditionally great fans of food. You know what is really hard? Finding a Venezuelan who doesn’t love eating. We can eat food from everywhere, but ours is definitely our favorite. If you live in the Miami-Dade or south Broward-County, you would love to try Avila Bistro. Located in the city of Aventura, this restaurant offers the most exquisite Venezuelan breakfast you can possibly get. For those who don’t know, the strength of Venezuelan gastronomy is their breakfasts. Here you will be able to taste (to the best of my knowledge) the best arepas and tequeños from all Miami, and I am not lying. They have several options to fill your arepa. My favorite ones? Queso de Mano (hand-formed cheese) and “Pelúa”, which is shredded beef and gouda-cheese.

If you are tired of eating Venezuelan food (it’s so delicious that people eat it many times), don’t worry! Avila Bistro has other dishes that you don’t want to miss. Its fusion cuisine allows you to have not only Venezuelan food, but also steaks, burgers and even pasta. I know we are in USA and burgers are everywhere here, but these ones are special. They have one called Cerro Avila that has 100% ground ribeye meat.

Avila Bistro is definitely one of the best latin-american restaurants in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area and visiting it will remind you the tasty Venezuelan flavor that shaped your childhood.
